Professor Zhibing Lu is a distinguished cardiovascular scientist and Chief Physician serving as Vice President and Director of the Department of Cardiology at Zhongnan Hospital of Wuhan University. He simultaneously leads several key academic and clinical institutions, including the Institute of Myocardial Injury and Repair and the Hubei Provincial Clinical Research Center for Cardiovascular Intervention, while also holding the role of Vice President at the Cardiovascular Hospital of Zhongnan Hospital. His research focuses on autonomic neuroregulatory mechanisms underlying arrhythmias as well as the molecular and translational foundations of myocardial injury and repair. Professor Lu has produced a substantial body of influential scholarship, authoring 194 scientific documents with 7,214 citations and maintaining a strong h-index of 35, reflecting his lasting and wide-ranging impact on cardiovascular science.
