Dr. Sen Mei | Engineering | Research Excellence Award

Nanyang Technological University | Singapore

Sen Mei is a postdoctoral fellow in coastal engineering at Nanyang Technological University, specializing in the research and development of offshore wind anchor foundations, mooring systems, and coastal protection infrastructure. Her work focuses on innovative anchored flexible seawall technologies and advanced seawater–anchor–seabed coupled numerical models for deep-sea structural design. Trained in offshore and geotechnical engineering across leading institutions in Singapore, Australia, Japan, and China, she has extensive experience in finite element modeling, centrifuge testing, and experimental geomechanics. Sen Mei has contributed to high-impact research on suction caisson uplift capacity, anchoring security under extreme environmental conditions, and foundation behavior under dynamic and complex loading. She has also played key roles in large-scale international research programs related to climate adaptation, coastal defense, and offshore floating infrastructure. With a strong foundation in soil mechanics and excellent bilingual scientific writing skills, she bridges theoretical insight with practical engineering solutions.
