Professor Chigozie Francolins Uzoh is a distinguished expert in Chemical and Petroleum Engineering, currently serving as a Research Fellow at the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation and the Chinese Academy of Science. His research focuses on the design and optimization of processes and products for environmental applications, including sustainable and bio-based coatings, controlled-release coated fertilizers, bio-based flow improvers, demulsifiers, and drilling fluids. He has a strong academic and teaching background, delivering courses in petroleum production engineering, petroleum and natural gas engineering, fuel and energy, chemical process calculation, process control, reaction engineering, transport phenomena, and engineering mathematics. Professor Uzoh has held leadership roles, including Head of the Department of Petroleum Engineering, and has extensive experience supervising postgraduate research. He is a COREN-registered engineer and a corporate member of multiple professional engineering bodies, including the Nigerian Society of Engineers, the Nigerian Society of Chemical Engineers, and the International Association of Engineers. Recognized for his contributions to green and sustainable chemistry, he has received numerous fellowships and research grants, including the Alexander von Humboldt Research Fellowship, UNESCO-TWAS Postdoctoral Award, and the Chinese Academy of Science Postdoctoral Researchers Award. Actively engaged in professional service, he serves on editorial boards, reviews for top journals, and participates in international conferences, workshops, and technical committees, promoting innovative research and sustainable engineering solutions worldwide.
