Dr. Raafat AbdulHassan Muslim is a distinguished physicist whose career spans academic research, scientific committee leadership, and long-standing service within the Ministry of Education’s Directorate General of Curriculum, Department of Educational Technologies. Holding a B.Sc. in Physics, an M.Sc., and a Ph.D., he has built a strong scientific portfolio supported by an h-index, documents, and citations that reflect his sustained research impact across nuclear physics, radiation measurement, materials analysis, and applied educational technologies. His publications include influential studies on angular momentum distributions, indoor radon modeling, alpha particle stopping power, neutron-yield calculations, radionuclide production, and theoretical electronic current density—appearing in reputable national and international journals such as the Iraqi Journal of Engineering and Technology, Journal of the College of Education, Advances in Physics Theories and Applications, J. Chem. Bio. Phy. Sci., IJERM, and Radiation Physics and Chemistry. In parallel with his research, Dr. Raafat has played major roles in more than twenty high-level scientific, technical, and standardization committees, contributing to laboratory equipment specifications, physics curriculum modernization, development of experimental evidence, and advancement of educational technologies. His leadership as Head of the Laboratory Repair Division and Head of the Technical Division strengthened national capacity in laboratory maintenance, equipment design, and scientific resource development. He has also served as a lecturer and supervisor for multiple technical training courses, supporting the professional growth of educators and technicians. With recognized expertise, strong publication performance, and wide-ranging committee influence, Dr. Raafat continues to contribute meaningfully to physics education, laboratory development, and applied research in Iraq.
